LONDON — Ketchum has announced a new executive committee for its London office. The committee will report into Jo-ann Robertson (pictured), who was appointed CEO of Ketchum London in November.

The executive committee will be responsible for talent development, client service and setting the strategic agenda for driving the agency’s UK performance.

Robertson is joined on the committee by seven other senior leaders from the London office:
• Deirdre Murphy, chief operating officer, London
• Gavin Cooper, financial director, London
• Kirsty Sachrajda, head of HR, Europe
• Susan Smith, managing director, London consumer brand practice
• Jamie Robertson, managing director, London corporate and public affairs practice – a new addition to the Ketchum London team, having previously held senior positions at FTI Consulting and The Communication Group.
• Kate Paxton, managing director, London healthcare practice
• Neil McLelland, managing director, Inspired Science

The exco is a similar model to Ketchum’s 19-strong global leadership council, which reports to CEO Barri Rafferty.

Robertson said: “I’ve been thinking about the leadership team I need and I’ve worked hard to select people who would give us real balance in the day-to-day running of the business, not just in terms of skills and experience but also their personalities: risk takers and those who are more conservative, giant personalities and those who are more thoughtful, those who are deep client service and those who are new business go getters.

“The biggest thing is that everyone on the committee is a people-nurturer, and they are all good role models. In our industry it’s easy to forget to put our people first because of various pressures, but nurturing talent is absolutely central to my leadership, because then people are more engaged and prepared to go the extra mile for the business. I can’t tell you how excited I am.”
