AMSTERDAM — One Green Bean has opened its third office, expanding to the Netherlands to support clients across Europe.

Amsterdam joins One Green Bean's original base in Sydney, established in 2007 and now with a team of 60, and London, which launched in 2015 and is now 50 people strong.

The new office will service One Green Bean’s global and pan-European clients, including Hotels.com, Vodafone Smart Tech, Nestlé and Cereal Partners Worldwide. It will also ensure better support for Strongbow’s global digital and social remit, which has been handled by the London agency since 2016.

Founder and global ECD Kat Thomas said: “Further international expansion has been a continued ambition and we’re thrilled to add Europe to our big little network. Our Amsterdam office will ensure we remain plugged firmly into Europe in the post-Brexit landscape, offering a global perspective coupled with a deep understanding of local nuances and news agendas. Amsterdam is a standout creative and cultural hub, it was a natural next step for us and an exciting one for our clients and team.”

One Green Bean Amsterdam will be led by business director Sophie Nicholson (pictured, who has held senior roles for the agency in Sydney and London since 2016 and has worked with brands across travel and tourism, consumer tech, FMCG and food and beverage.

Nicholson said: “One Green Bean is a champion of ambition, for the agency, its clients and its team. Having experienced its unique creative culture in both Sydney and London, I’m very proud to be building our presence in Amsterdam, which will share the same values and spirit of entrepreneurship.

London managing director James Thomlinson will broaden his UK remit to include the management of One Green Bean Amsterdam. Also in London, One Green Bean recently appointed former 3 Monkeys Zeno director Alex Perry as its new head of PR.

At the same time, the agency has unveiled a new brand identity – Creativity that powers Conversation – and is now positioning itself as a “big little agency that offers clients the commitment to creativity and agility of a boutique operation, combined with the reach, reliability and rigour of a global network, via shareholder Havas.”
