NEW YORK—Patrick Linehan has been named vice president, corporate communications, at The Travelers Companies. Linehan, who will serve on the company’s operating committee and marketing leadership team, will report to Lisa Caputo, executive vice president, marketing and communications, and will oversee external, internal and executive communications, functioning as chief spokesperson for the company.

Linehan joins Travelers from JPMorgan Chase, where he headed media relations for the company’s consumer banking, business banking and commercial banking businesses as senior vice president, communications. He also oversaw the department’s social media strategy, including launching Chase’s first Twitter handle for Communications.

Previously, Linehan was a principal at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery (now RLM Finsbury) where he counseled through crises, executive transitions, high-profile litigation, and financial transactions. Linehan was also vice president at The Abernathy MacGregor Group.
