NEW YORK — Ben Boyd will be joining Peloton Interactive as head of global communications, his second in-house leadership role since leaving BCW for Lowe’s in 2020.

“I could not be more excited about this next chapter and challenge. Bittersweet to leave the incredible communications and community relations teams at Lowe's Companies, Inc. who taught me so much over these past two years. But, over the moon excited to join the incredible team of communicators and leaders at Peloton Interactive,” Boyd wrote in a LinkedIn post. “Health and wellness have never mattered more. Here's to ‘Motivation That Moves You’ and the opportunity to help shape and tell the story of the future of connected fitness.

Boyd will formally serve as senior VP of global communications for Peloton, whose fortunes have been flagging since reaching a high during the Covid pandemic. Shares of Peloton, whose connected stationary bikes start at nearly $1,100,  have fallen 90% in that time, Bloomberg reports.

Boyd succeeds Jessica Kleinman, who left Peloton in March after nearly four years with the company.

Boyd has been Lowe’s VP of communications since October 2020. Boyd had spent the previous year as BCW’s first global chief strategy and operations officer, a role he assumed after 14 years with Edelman.
