NEW YORK — As part of its push to be more globally focused, Page has named veteran communicator Peter Debreceny to the newly created role of international VP.

Debreceny, who most recently held a senior counsel role at Gagen MacDonald in Chicago, will be working with Page leaders around the world to boost the organization’s presence and offerings for international chief communications officers. Page, as the Arthur W. Page Society is now called, has 133 members in 25 countries outside the US.

"We are truly trying to get very global in our thinking and our approach,” said  Debreceny, who has long been active in the Page organization, most recently leading Page initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. “We want to make sure we share across all geography what’s happening in the communications world, and how we get better by sharing them with each other."

Debreceny, whose professional experience includes running his own consultancy and working in-house for Allstate, has been an ardent booster of Page, which includes serving as a trustee. He was the 2010 recipient of the Arthur W. Page Society Distinguished Service Award.
