REDWOOD CITY, CA — Former Levi Strauss executive Amber McCasland has joined Poshmark as the company’s first VP of communications, bringing 20-plus years of retail experience to the online marketplace.

McCasland is charged with helping shape and communicate Poshmark’s narrative, as the company positions itself as a leader in furthering retail through social connections. The platform, which has processed more than 100 million orders, allows US users to buy, sell and trade clothing, shoes and accessories.

McCasland joins Poshmark after a decade-long career with Levi Strauss, where she most recently served as VP of global corporate reputation. Before assuming that role she worked as the company’s senior director of corporate affairs and director of corporate affairs for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

McCasland's career also includes leadership roles at Yahoo and Gap.

"Amber is joining our team at an exciting time in our growth,” said Poshmark founder and CEO Manish Chandra. “As Poshmark continues to shape the future of shopping and consumer connections, we’re honored to welcome such an accomplished industry leader as we redefine the next generation of retail."
