KUALA LUMPUR - Early childhood and preschool MapleBear has appointed Singapore-headquartered public relations and public affairs firm SW Strategies to lead its outreach, engagement and public communications strategies in Malaysia.
The partnership with SW Strategies, which commenced in May 2025, marks a new chapter in MapleBear’s regional growth, as the global Canadian education network accelerates its efforts to expand its presence and deepen engagement in Malaysia, it said.
The communications strategy will be anchored around building media relationships, stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, and social media activation, aimed at positioning MapleBear as a trusted provider of early education.
The collaboration aims to highlight MapleBear’s educational philosophy, its success stories, and the unique value it offers to Malaysian families.
“This marks an exceptional opportunity for us to make an impact on the next generation of learners in Malaysia through our clients,” said Jose Raymond, founder and managing director of SW Strategies. “Our goal is to amplify MapleBear’s presence and build meaningful connections that support its growth and educational mission in Malaysia."
“We are honoured that MapleBear, a renowned name in the early education sector, selected us to work with them as they expand their business into Malaysia, regarded very much as a high growth potential market within Southeast Asia,” Raymond added.
SW Strategies continues to diversify its client portfolio, which now includes real estate, arts and culture sectors and early education.
Earlier this year, SW Strategies expanded into Vietnam with the appointment of Anh Thu Lai as its new PR consultant, based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Lai supports SW Strategies’ outreach in the Vietnamese market for clients while expanding the company’s services across the ASEAN region.
