NAPERVILLE, IL—Sikich, an accounting, advisory, investment banking, technology and managed services firm, has acquired The Reynolds Communications Group, a Chicago-based public relations firm. The move is designed to expand the breadth of professional services Sikich offers its clients.

Reynolds has experience representing professional service and technology firms, business-to-business manufacturers, consumer products makers and public pensions. Founder and president Mack Reynolds (pictured), will become partner-in-charge of the new Sikich marketing and public relations practice, which will provide go-to-market strategy, social media relations, crisis communications, graphic design, web development and videography.

According to Sikich CEO and managing partner Jim Sikich, “We view marketing, public relations and reputation management as natural extensions of our accounting, technology, advisory and investment banking services.  Our clients ask often for PR counsel, especially when it comes to social media.”

With more than 400 employees throughout the country, Sikich is among the largest business advisory firms in the Midwest. Clients include a mix of companies in healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products and professional services, as well as non-profit organizations and state and local governments.
