NEW YORK — Propeller, which makes drone mapping software for civil construction sites, has named Diffusion its PR agency of record.

Diffusion won the business following a competitive review. There was no incumbent agency.

Diffusion’s remit includes supporting Propeller’s expansion in North America by leveraging customer case studies and highlighting Propeller’s core technology through media relations, thought leadership and creative activations.

Campaigns will target mainstream business, technology, construction, waste management, and agriculture media verticals to generate positive brand awareness for Propeller.

Founded in 2014, Propeller enables civil construction managers to map and manage their worksites with drone data. The software also targets people involved in engineering projects, like road construction, that involve moving or processing massive quantities of dirt or rock.

“It’s a myth that the construction industry is slow to adopt technology — in fact, it’s that a lot of technologies haven't adequately served the industry’s needs. This space is eager to adopt technology that’s been proven to be reliable and at Propeller, we are developing solutions that are built from the ground up to better serve the needs of the foremen, contractors and workers using them,” said Holly Hamann, Propeller’s VP of marketing. “Propeller needed an agency partner with a proven track record developing and delivering creative and impactful campaigns for results-focused technology clients. From their international expertise and their refreshing creativity and accountability, Diffusion made it an easy decision.”
