Speakers from Google, Diageo, HKEx, Abbott, Tata Consultancy Services and Standard Chartered will examine how Asia-Pacific corporates are responding to this year's communications challenges at PRovoke Media's 2020 Asia-Pacific Summit, which is taking place virtually on 24 September.

The Summit (which is free to attend) takes place on the morning of 24 September, ahead of the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards ceremony scheduled for 5pm. The event takes place in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Association of Communication Directors, and is also supported by a range of partners, including Ruder Finn, BCW, FleishmanHillard, Adfactors, Weber Shandwick, APCO Worldwide, IN.FOM, WE, Ogilvy, ICCO, WARC, Reputation Today and SparkUp.

Kicking things off at the Summit is 'From Fragility to Agility' an exploration of growth strategies for 2021, featuring HKEx chief communications officer Tori Cowley, Google Southeast Asia comms head Meenu Handa and Ruder Finn Asia-Pacific chief Elan Shou. Attendees can help shape the conversation ahead of the session by taking part in a 20-second survey at provoke.sparkup.live (code CJNAC).

That is followed by a focus on the kinds of corporate and brand creativity that have been born out of this year's Covid-19 crisis, in a conversation that includes Diageo head of communications and society Azmar Sukandar and BCW MD Polka Yu.

The future of employee engagement is another critical issue that will be examined at the Summit, underpinned by new research from NTU that includes interviews with 50 corporate communications leaders from across the world. Supported by APACD, the session will feature NTU's Ferry de Bakker, Abbott public affairs director Karen Wong Chayavirabood and Standard Chartered CCIB HR head Angelena Cala

No discussion of the challenges facing corporates this year would be complete without considering the impact of rising geopolitical tensions, in a discussion that will include Tata Consultancy Services global CMO Abhinav Kumar and FleishmanHillard India GM Yusuf Hatia

And there will also be a conversation with leading independent agency heads on how this group of firms is surviving and thriving in 2020 and beyond, with contributions from Angela Scaffidi from SenateSHJ, Madan Bahal from Adfactors and Lina Marican from Mutant Communications.
