MIAMI — PRovoke18, our seventh Global Public Relations Summit, will take place at the historic Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC. And we are once again kicking off registration for the event with a special flash sale offering a 50% discount for early reservations.

For this week—until midnight PT on Monday March 26—attendees can book their place at the event through our dedicated website for half the normal price: that’s $1197.50 for the entire three-day event, or $547.50 for any single day of the event.

"After six successful years at the St Regis Bal Harbour in Miami, we have decided to move the event to Washington, DC, this year," said Paul Holmes, founder of The Holmes Report. "So many of the changes impacting our profession—and the world—are coming out of Washington that it seemed like a natural fit. The Watergate is a spectacular venue with plenty of history, and will maintain the quality standards our attendees have come to expect. And we believe this new venue will help us attract even more great speakers."

Our Independent PR Firm Forum—a half-day event designed to help PR agency principals anticipate the challenges and exploit the opportunities facing their businesses—will take place on Monday October 22.

The PRovoke18 conference itself—the global PR industry’s most informative, insightful and provocative event—will take place on October 23 and 24, culminating in our Global SABRE Awards ceremony on the evening of the 24th.

In recent years, speakers have included Sir Martin Sorrell, Verizon Wireless CEO Ronan Dunne, Celebrity Cruises CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Columbia University professor and roboticist Hod Lipson, neuroscientist Tali Sharot, PBS Frontline executive producer Raney Aronson-Rath, noted documentarian Lynn Novick, and a host of authors, academics, CMOs and CCOs.

This is an event that Weber Shandwick’s global chief executive Andy Polansky says “stands out among industry events given the quality of the speakers, its broad range of topics covered and its international audience.” According to Kate Johns of Africa’s Standard Bank, the Global Summit is “thought provoking and paradigm-shifting.” And M Booth chief executive Dale Bornstein adds: “There hasn't been a year yet when I haven't been inspired by something I heard here. Some of those insights have contributed profoundly to the evolution and success of our agency and our business.”
