WASHINGTON, DC — Bringing together expertise in public affairs and government, Michael Sessums and Michael Law are opening their own Washington-based public affairs firm, called Ibex Partners.

The firm is launching with a focus on the environment and land use, data privacy and security, and global supply chain and international public affairs. Sessums (pictured) will serve as the firm’s managing partner and Washington market leader; Law is Ibex’s president and leader of its environment, sustainability and land use practice.

The partners bring years of experience working in public affairs,  holding government posts and running agencies.

Sessums, a career public affairs strategist, has worked abroad as a diplomat  for the US government and in the Obama White House. Law spent more than 20 years with the Ogilvy Group in Washington, Asia-Pacific and California.

Law and Sessums first worked together at Burson-Marsteller, where Law served as the firm’s US president and CEO and Sessums as managing director and international team leader in the agency’s US public affairs and crisis practice.  Law launched California-based corporate communications consultancy Summit Strategy Group in early 2017 and will continue to manage its operations.
