NEW YORK —  Revenues from Interpublic Group (IPG) PR firms, which include Weber Shandwick and Golin, have shown high single-digit organic growth in Q1 2015.

The PR firms are part of the group's CMG division which was up 1.6% organically to $326.1m in Q1. The PR firms' growth was, in part, due to growing demand for multi-region and multi-practice assignments, said Weber Shandwick CEO Andy Polansky.

About two-thirds of the growth for Weber was fueled by organic growth via new assignments from existing clients like AB InBev, Abbott and Aldi — on top of new wins like the American Cancer Society, John Hancock and Maine Lobster.

Polansky added, Weber saw strong growth across key markets in the US: New York, Chicago, Boston and its San Francisco operation that Luca Penati recently took over. In Europe, Weber has grown in nine out of 11 markets despite economic headwinds. China also continues to show robust growth.

Meanwhile, digital and content now comprise of about 30% of Weber’s overall revenues and this figure is expected to continue rising. Healthcare, consumer marketing and technology led growth from the practices.
