NEW YORK—PR firms from Interpublic Group's CMG division continued to grow at a double-digit pace during the third quarter of this year, led by Weber Shandwick and Golin.

Weber Shandwick CEO Andy Polansky stated that both Weber Shandwick and Golin "registered double-digit organic growth during the quarter".

Currency volatility means that reported growth among CMG's PR unit, which also includes DeVries Global and others, was in the mid single-digits for the quarter and high single-digits for the year-to-date. The overall CMG unit, including Jack Morton, Octagon, and others, grew 3.7% in Q3.

The results mean that Weber Shandwick has now reported double-digit organic growth for seven of the last eight quarters, despite more modest returns at Omnicom and WPP's PR firms.

Polansky said that the firm was benefiting from strong geographic performance in China and Brazil, along with major markets such as New York, Chicago, London and Germany.

"More clients are looking to us for integrated content marketing programs," said Polansky, pointing to healthcare, consumer, corporate reputation and public affairs as growth practices. "That’s kind of the Weber Shandwick story."

Both Weber and Golin also exceeded 10% growth in Q2 of this year.

Overall, Interpublic reported an organic revenue increase of 7.1% for Q3, to $1.87bn.
