BOSTON — Racepoint Global has named Jack Morton’s Bill Davies as its new CEO, following the departure of president Bob Osmond.

Davies, who most recently served as Jack Morton’s global co-president, is tasked with leading the growth of RPG, Larry Weber’s Boston-based tech firm.

Davies spent 23 years with Jack Morton, IPG’s brand agency, including two years as global co-president. He also held roles as the firm’s CFO and COO during his tenure.

Davies’ relationship with Weber, RPG’s chairman, dates back to 1990 when he began his decade-long tenure as CFO of The Weber Group. In 2001, IPG merged The Weber Group with Shandwick International to create Weber Shandwick.

“I’m excited for what the future holds for independent agencies like RPG,” said Weber. “We’re flexible and agile, delivering for brands of all sizes. Bill’s proven track record of growing agencies by building trusted relationships with blue-chip clients, winning new business, and fostering a culture of excellence and respect is the perfect blend for Racepoint’s next chapter.”

RPG has been under the leadership of Osmond as president since April 2020, when he revived a role that had been vacant for two years. In a LinkedIn post, Osmond said he will be “taking some time to define what’s next.”
