BOSTON —Communications firm Racepoint Global has launched a thought leadership practice created to provide context for the campaigns the agency delivers for clients.

The practice, called Viewpoint, is focused on analyzing business and social issues impacting its clients around the world, the agency said.

Tech and media firms’ responsibilities, ethics in healthcare, US job creation and workforce development, and the expansion of Chinese companies are among the topics that will be explored. The importance and impact of technology, a Racepoint focus, will also be studied, the agency said.

Executive VP Jeff Grogan will head the practice, which will be made up of leaders from across Racepoint’s offices in the US, China and Europe.

“Today, market knowledge and the ability to combine business strategy and communications expertise are increasingly important. Viewpoint will be a great vehicle to share our ideas and those of our clients and industry peers, and create a voice around which constituent groups can rally,” Grogan said. “Our goal is to provide leadership for the public good, and to create a path forward for our business and the businesses of the clients we serve.”
