NEW YORK—Expanding its knowledge management capabilities, Ruder-Finn has announced partnerships with ARC Advisory Group and The Clement Group, which will provide the PR firm’s technology practice with expert insight into the areas of enterprise software and channel development.

According to Richard Funess, president of Ruder-Finn Americas, “Our technology practice has built a reputation as a trusted business partner to our clients not only by delivering outstanding tactical execution on the communications front but also by providing market insight, domain expertise and strategic counsel.”

The partnerships with ARC and The Clement Group began in RF’s Chicago office, headed by Howard Solomon.

ARC is widely regarded as one of the technology community’s leading providers of research and analysis for the enterprise software marketplace. Major manufacturers such as General Mills and Eli Lilly turn to ARC for expert advice on technology planning and selection, while fast-growing solution suppliers like Savi Technology view ARC as an integral part of their go-to-market strategies. Based in Massachusetts, the firm has analysts throughout the Americas, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan.

ARC and Ruder-Finn share several clients, including McHugh Software International and Logistics.com. Under the new partnership, ARC will serve as a dedicated source of information and guidance to the PR firm’s technology practice, while RF Chicago will provide PR support and counsel to ARC to further establish the firm’s presence on the global e-business landscape.

“From our viewpoint, Ruder-Finn has clearly distinguished itself as the premier PR firm in the enterprise applications arena,” says Ralph Rio, director of marketing at ARC. “The depth of understanding and breadth of relationships its team brings to the table make Ruder-Finn an invaluable partner in ARC’s brand-building program.”

Founded earlier this year, Chicago-based Clement Group specializes in counsel that builds revenues, improves profitability and reduces risk by increasing the predictability of performance in the channels and alliances arena.

The two firms already share Chicago-based software company Geodesic Systems as a client.

The San Francisco office of Ruder-Finn has been selected by Guava Technologies, a leading developer of cellular analysis systems, as public relations agency of record. The program includes corporate, product, and issues-based communications.
