MIAMI—The Holmes Report is now accepting bookings for its second annual Global Public Relations Summit, which will take place once again at the St Regis Bal Harbour hotel in Miami, from November 11-14.

The Summit will focus on one of the major challenges facing the international public relations business, the need for companies to strike a balance between Global Reputations, Local Relationships.

“There is no question that reputation has to be managed globally,” says Paul Holmes, editor of The Holmes Report and chairman of the Summit. “In the digital age, a company’s behavior and its communications quickly become global knowledge, and actions in one market can instantly create crises in another.

“At the same time, relationships are increasingly intimate, increasingly personal, and increasingly local. Companies need to communicate and build relationships with people—not just publics.

“And of course the best companies need to figure out how to do both: build a global reputation while fostering local relationships.”

The second Global Public Relations Summit will take place on November 12 and 13. But this year’s event will once again include the Independent Public Relations Forum, a half-day meeting on the afternoon of the 11th designed specifically for the principals of independent public relations firms from around the world; and the Global SABRE Awards dinner on the evening of the 13th, honoring the best campaigns submitted to our Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific SABE Awards competition and our Global Agencies of the Year.

This year’s event will also include an additional half-day on November 14, which will include presentations from the Global SABRE winners—responding to the demand from last year’s attendees for more case study materials.

The whole event is designed once again for senior practitioners—agency principals and senior corporate communications executives—from around the world.

Attendees can register for the Global Public Relations Summit here. Hotel reservations must be made separately, and those who wish to stay at the St Regis can make hotel reservations here.
