LONDON — Hope&Glory has won a competitive pitch to lead Sega Europe’s lifestyle and mainstream PR outreach across its entire UK games portfolio.
The retained brief will see Hope&Glory, which has previously worked with the company on a project basis, working with the Sega Europe PR team, based in the UK, to deliver media relations across the brand’s games, including Humankind and the Total War (pictured) and Two Point franchises.
As well as managing ongoing campaigns and outreach for existing games, the agency will be responsible for launching Sega's line-up of upcoming releases in the lifestyle media.
Sega Europe communications director Peter Oliver said: “We’re delighted to welcome Hope&Glory aboard. Their track record as an award-winning industry leader in the entertainment and gaming spaces will help us take our great portfolio of games to a wider audience than ever before. We’re at the start of a really exciting partnership.”
The account will be led by Hope&Glory co-founder and chief creative officer James Gordon-MacIntosh and associate director George Costi.
Costi said: “Sega has been a household name for decades, even among non-gamers, and we couldn’t be prouder to become the company’s retained UK PR agency. This is a brilliant opportunity to build on our previous project work and provide long-term support across their entire portfolio. We can’t wait to get started with the brilliant in-house team and watch this space for some exciting work to help bring one of the gaming world’s most iconic names to a new audience."
