MEXICO CITY—The finalists for the 2020 Latin American SABRE Awards competition are announced today, and independent Latin American network Sherlock Communications leads the way, with its work for clients nominated 24 times—more than any other agency.
Several other firms were nominated multiple times for their work, including Mexican consultancy Another Company (14 finalists); global agency BCW, independent network The Jeffrey Group, and Mexican firm Zimat Consultores (10 finalists each); Weber Shandwick (eight); LLYC (six); Agora Public Affairs & Strategic Communications (five); and Edelman, Ideal H+K Strategies, MGC (four finalists each), and Ketchum Brazil (three)
In addition, the winners of two of the competition’s largest awards were announce: Instructure was named company of the year for its “Proving the Value of Distance Learning in Latin America” campaign with Sherlock Communications, while BlackRock Mexico chief executive Samantha Ricciardia—a client of Jeffrey Group—was named CEO of the Year.
The other winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony, which will take place during RADICAL, the international public relations conference held annually by the Mexican Public Relations Professionals Association (PRORP). This year’s RADICAL edition will be 100% digital, hosted by El Financiero Bloomberg on September 9.
