NEW YORK — The smart applications company Veea has tapped MWWPR to lead its global communications, bolstering the agency’s work in edge computing.

As the company’s global agency of record, MWWPR is charged with supporting Veea’s smart retail, transportation, cities and buildings applications, while also rallying interest in edge computing and IoT-enabled devices.

The agency’s tech practice will oversee all aspects of communications including social and digital marketing, media and influencer relations, content development, creative and video production.

New York-based Veea, whose platform serves consumers as well as commercial users, has grown in capabilities over the course of the year. In May, the company struck a partnership with the payment company CITCON that enabled businesses using Veea to accept Alipay and WeChat Pay payments. A month later, Veea acquired UK-based smart applications company Virtuosys.
