LONDON—Social media platform Tint has hired Ketchum UK to handle PR duties, following a competitive review.

Tint, which was set up in 2013 and is headquartered in San Francisco, now counts 45,000 customers worldwide, who use the platform to aggregate, curate and display social media feeds onto any screen.

Ketchum starts working on the business after Tint previously worked with Weber Shandwick for the past year. The Omnicom agency's UK-based brief includes global projects and aims to generate greater awareness of Tint’s offering, focusing on the platform's versatility, engagement potential and business benefits.

"Finding ways to deepen relationships with their customers whilst maximising marketing spend is top of mind for our clients right now, so we are very much looking forward to, not only generating greater awareness of Tint in the market, but also introducing Tint to our clients and exploring novel ways in which we can use Tint throughout the Ketchum network too," explained Ketchum European technology director David Vindel.

The campaign will involve targeting specific sectors such as retail/ecommerce, printing and publishing, hospitality and travel, and event management.

"Hashtags have really evolved and now form part of our real conversations and engagement with companies and organisations, and that is why brands around the world have such an appetite for Tint," said Tint European director Stuart Thompson.
