NEW YORK — Southern Comfort has handed its global communications business to the Golin-owned creative agency Brooklyn Brothers.

Brooklyn Brothers has been charged with creating and executing an integrated campaign for the whiskey brand in the US and globally. The IPG firm, which includes advertising among its specialties, won the business in a competitive pitch.

“We’re thrilled to raise a glass to our newest partner @southerncomfort. It’s our honour to introduce this iconic American spirit to a new generation of whiskey lovers. Cheers! #client,” Brooklyn Brothers announced in a Twitter post.

Southern Comfort has worked with a range of agencies over the years, including the UK’s Brazen PR. In 2016, the spirits company ended its years-long global partnership with Wieden & Kennedy after Brown-Forman sold the brand to Sazerac.

Neither Brooklyn Brothers nor Southern Comfort were available for comment.
