HONG KONG — Strategic Public Relations Group has acquired a 20% stake in Australian agency Financial & Corporate Relations (FCR) as part of the firm’s larger goal of growing its footprint across Asia-Pacific.

FCR is a 15-person independent consultancy that specializes in investor, corporate and financial communications. It was launched in 1985 by Anthony Tregoning, who is still the agency’s managing director.

Since that time, FCR has orchestrated more than 250 campaigns surrounding capital raisings, cross-border mergers and acquisitions and international exchange listings among other events. FCR also operates its own corporate design, publishing and production operations.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome FCR to the SPRG family,” said SPRG founder and chairman Richard Tsang. “The link-up between SPRG and FCR will not only strengthen the capabilities and service offerings of both parties, but will also allow the two companies to seize new business opportunities.”

SPRG, which launched in 1995, is a full-service corporate communications agency with particular expertise in investor and financial communications. The firm has 15 offices staffing more than 320 individuals across the region.
