LONDON—Hill+Knowlton Strategies has named Chameleon MD Steve Loynes as head of its UK technology practice.

Loynes will leave Chameleon after five years with the firm, amid the arrival last month of new CEO Tom Berry.  He joins H+K in January.

At H+K, he succeeds Grant Currie, who departed the WPP agency earlier this year for Porter Novelli.

Prior to Chameleon, Loynes spent four years at Edelman and also worked in-house at Cambridge Technology Partners and Novell. In tandem with Mark Pinsent, he was also behind irreverent tech PR blog ‘theworldsleading.’

“Steve’s outstanding leadership and team building skills will be a great asset to our technology team," said H+K UK and Europe CEO Richard Millar in a statement.
