NEW YORK — The Sway Effect has struck a partnership with DLC Group, under which the agency will serve as the marketing firm’s PR arm.

The deal expands both organizations’ capabilities and reach, as their combined expertise will be offered to all existing clients. DLC Group specializes in creative, social media and machine learning and analytics. The Sway Effect’s expertise is in PR and influence, social impact, brand strategy, research and DE&I.

The firms will also collaborate on new business opportunities, and build cross-agency teams to serve clients. The combined organization will operate in the US, Caribbean and throughout Latin America.

Sway Effect founder and president Jennifer Risi will join the DLC Group leadership team, led by DLC president Carlos Thompson.

“We are excited to become DLC Group’s PR partner and to continue to expand our network,” Risi said. “Not only will we bring the best of The Sway Effect network to table, but we will also bring our mission of putting diversity, equity and inclusion at the center of everything we do, to the DLC Group roster of clients.”

The deal with DLC furthers The Sway Effect’s goal of creating a network of agencies to meet client needs beyond communications. In June, Sway Effect struck a partnership with Miami agency Founders, expanding the firm’s creative capabilities and reach across Latin America.
