LONDON — Global influencer marketing firm Takumi has acquired media buying agency Unieed, a move meant to bolster client services amid Takumi’s expansion into the US.

The acquisition will expand Takumi’s paid media offerings, as well as build out its paid media team in its London and New York offices. Joe Adsett, Unieed’s founder and managing director, will join Takumi as its paid media director.

Takumi has also grown its leadership team with new hires. They include CMO Kristy Engels, managing partner Sara Joy Madison; and managing partner Eric Martucci. Together the new hires bring expertise in diversity & inclusion and new approaches to influencer marketing.

“As we expand our presence in the US, we are ecstatic to join forces with Unieed, growing our paid media offerings to bring an evergreen portfolio of technology to our brand partners and influencers,” said Takumi CEO Mary Keane (pictured). “With the acquisition and additions to our team, Takumi continues to spearhead the narrative that influencer marketing is a key component to brands’ success in the US. Takumi is ensuring creators realize their full potential and power, and inspiring brands to give voice and representation to those who otherwise would be unheard.”
