SINGAPORE--Tarun Deo has resigned and left Fleishman-Hillard, after five years with the firm in Asia.

Deo, who left the agency last week, told the Holmes Report that he will spend a couple of months considering his next move. After joining F-H as regional SVP in 2007, Deo soon added MD duties for Southeast Asia and India, helping to stabilise the former and launch the latter.

“It’s been a great five years,” said Deo. “My job was to effectively set up Southeast Asia and India for growth and that’s exactly what I’ve done.”

F-H regional CEO Lynne-Anne Davis told the Holmes Report that Southeast Asia and India had grown by 43 percent and 35 percent in 2011, respectively, under Deo’s leadership.

“Tarun Deo has decided to leave Fleishman-Hillard after five years with the firm, most recently leading our Southeast Asia and India networks,” said Davis. “We sincerely appreciate and thank Tarun for his dedication and hard work supporting outstanding growth over successive years in these markets.”

Deo joined Fleishman-Hillard from Text 100, where he led a thriving Indian operation before moving to a regional role in Singapore.

Davis added that F-H veteran and Asia-Pacific MD for strategic growth planning Beth Boswell is transferring to New Delhi, an office which she helped set up three years ago. “Beth is thrilled to be back in the highly dynamic and strategically critical India market where our client demands and opportunities continue to escalate,” said Davis.
