SALT LAKE CITY — Method has hired tech journalist John Foley as managing editor, boosting the firm’s growing editorial team.

Foley, who is also VP of content & thought leadership, most recently launched and led Cloud Database Report, and has been working with Method as a content consultant.

He previously held senior editorial roles at IBM and Oracle and served as editor of InfoWeek’s print magazine.

Foley is the latest addition to Method’s editorial team, which has grown under the watch of former New York Times business and technology editor Tim Race, who joined the agency in April 2021. The agency’s roster of writers includes former New York Times journalists, as well as contributors to Fortune, Wired, Forbes and Bloomberg News.

"John is already an integral member of our journalistically driven content team, and we're delighted to have him aboard full-time," Race said. “John's a great journalist who's adept at helping clients frame and tell their stories. He joins a team who understands what the media are looking for because we've all worked in the mainstream media."
