LONDON — B2B technology PR agency CCgroup has shaken up its divisional leadership team, promoting Anaïs Merlin to associate director and head of its mobile and telecoms division.

Merlin succeeds CCgroup co-owner and chief operating officer Paul Nolan, and assumes overall responsibility for client servicing and ongoing business development in the mobile and telecoms industry.

Nolan will continue to service clients but his focus will be on CCgroup operations and building on the agency’s growth.

Merlin joined CCgroup after university six years ago and is this year part of the inaugural The Xec. cohort, the leadership scheme run by BME PR Pros to create the next generation of BME leaders in the communications industry.

Nolan said: “Anaïs thoroughly deserves this promotion, having served as deputy telecoms stream leader for a few years. Not only is she a diligent and hardworking communications professional, she is also extremely conscientious and is committed to improving diversity in the PR industry. We have proudly supported Anaïs’ growth and development since she joined us and remain extremely excited by her limitless potential.”

Merlin added: “I’m very excited to be succeeding Paul as head of mobile and telecoms. It’s something I’ve been working towards for some years with CCgroup’s unwavering support, and I didn’t think that my first proper job after university would turn out to be ‘the one’. I’m very lucky to have found an agency that pushes me to be my best self, supports me at every turn, and encourages me to always do more.”
