LONDON — Marketing and communications agency The 10 Group has won the PR account for UKspace, the trade association for the UK space industry.

UKspace represents and promotes the UK space sector – valued at around £16.5 billion a year – to government and other key stakeholders nationally and internationally, including the UK Space Agency, the Ministry of Defence, the Department for International Trade and Innovate UK, and represents businesses in the sector from start-ups to major space engineering companies.

The 10 Group chief communications officer James Myers said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at UKspace in developing a new integrated PR and social campaigns to communicate the value of space to UK jobs, income and innovation.

"As the industry seeks to secure the UK’s economic future, bringing space down to Earth and making its ‘deep impact’ relatable will help everyone understand its importance to our day-to-day lives as well as the huge economic benefits for all.”

The 10 Group already works with Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit, and the leadership team was behind global communications for the 2012 Red Bull Stratos high-altitude skydiving campaign.

Other recent client wins include financial software company Sage and second-hand book seller World of Books.
