LONDON — The Academy has won a UK brief with Zurich to grow its life insurance business this year after a competitive pitch.

Zurich, which has a market value of $69 billion, has tasked the agency with helping it to grow its life and protection business under the insurer’s new brand purpose, ‘Create a brighter future together’.

The Academy team will report into Tracy Dickerson, head of external communications at Zurich, who said: “The Academy was able to demonstrate strategic and creative thinking around a difficult topic. They also showed the hunger and energy which we look for from our partners, and we really felt they understood our business and our plans moving forward.”

The value of the account has not been disclosed but The Academy founder and CEO Mitchell Kaye said: “This is a really significant win for us. Zurich is a big player with big ambitions, and we are looking forward to helping them make it happen.”

Zurich joins other recent clients including Holland & Barrett and PizzaExpress on The Academy's roster.
