LONDON — Virtual PR agency The PR Network has won a contract with global software firm Onna to handle its PR and AR programmes across the US and the UK.

Onna is leading a new category of software, Knowledge Integration Platform (KIP), that helps companies integrate workplace applications including Slack, Dropbox, GSuite, Office 365 and Salesforce. Its clients include Facebook, Electronic Arts, Fitbit, Carvana, Lyft, and Newscorp.

The agency’s brief is to help Onna drive awareness and understanding of the KIP category with stakeholders including investors, customers and partners. The firm joins other clients including Dropbox, Snapchat, Soundcloud, Western Digital and Workday in The PR Network's technology portfolio.

Onna recently raised $27 million in Series B funding; to date, it has raised $43 million from investors, as well as from partners Slack and Dropbox.

The PR Network was chosen by Onna’s new global head of PR and communications, Nick Morris, to help him quickly scale the communications function. It’s the fourth time Morris has hired the agency: he worked with The PR Network in his three previous roles at Microsoft, Dropbox and Nexthink.

Morris said: “As I build the comms function for Onna, I know I need support from people I know, like and trust. By working with one partner, I’m now able to tackle multiple challenges and kick start several key projects at once. This approach is often much more efficient than having to hire different agencies for each market or communications discipline.”

The agency team is made up of four senior associates, led by head of client services, Eileen Boydell, who will work across borders to introduce Onna’s leaders and promote new product launches and partnerships in the UK and the US.

Boydell said: “Onna plans to be the market leader in its category, to which a strong profile and clear communications will be key. We are really excited to welcome Onna to our tech client portfolio."
