LONDON – Broadband provider Community Fibre has chosen The Romans as its retained consumer PR agency to help it reach more Londoners with high-speed broadband.
The Romans will be responsible for Community Fibre’s UK consumer PR programme, with a remit spanning news generation, press office and creative brand campaigns.
Community Fibre’s proposition is to offer London residents and businesses with fast and competitively-priced internet access through its own cable network. The network, which was recently named Best Altnet Network at the 2023 Uswitch Telecoms Awards, also provides free broadband to more than 300 community Centres and offers digital skills training.
The company’s PR manager, Joshua Speers, said: “We look forward to working with The Romans to help position Community Fibre as the go-to broadband providers for Londoners wanting fast and reliable internet connections without the premium price tag. We were impressed with the Romans creative response to the brief, and we cannot wait to begin creating powerful and changemaking work together to help more Londoners get online.”
Agency director Kate Brazier added: “We are committed to working with brands that want to create a better, fairer world, and we were inspired by the passion and enthusiasm from the Community Fibre team from our first call. At a time when Londoners need fair pricing more than ever, we’re looking forward to kickstarting a creative PR programme that will hero this challenger brand.”
The Romans, which has offices in London, Dubai and New York, currently has a headcount of 70 in the UK, with a fee income of around £6.5 million. Its client list includes Duolingo, Heineken, Ben & Jerry’s and Lidl.
