LONDON — Weber Shandwick has appointed Dylan Davenport to the newly-created role of UK executive vice president of brand.

Davenport joins Weber Shandwick from social publisher Jungle Creations, where he launched and ran its social-first creative agency, The Wild. He started his career at Rapier before moving to Beattie McGuinness Bungay, then Adam&eveDDB, where he worked on clients including YouView, Halifax, Unilever, VW, The Automobile Association and EA Sports, including the ‘El Tornado’ campaign for FIFA.

In his new role, Davenport is tasked with leading the brand proposition across The Weber Shandwick Collective in the UK. He will work across the agency’s specialist brand teams “to provide clients with access to earned-first, culturally-resonant integrated marketing solutions.”

The Weber Shandwick Collective combines Weber Shandwick’s earned, creative and data analytics capabilities with digital and social specialists at sister agencies Flipside and That Lot.

Based in London, Davenport will report to Weber Shandwick’s UK CEO Helen Bennett, who said he would “play an integral role in helping us continue to expand upon our creative offering”. She added: “We have an extraordinary breadth of specialist and creative talent within our UK business; Dylan’s role will help us continue to unify that talent to help brands realise brave and impactful solutions.”

Davenport said: “The Weber Shandwick Collective is something very special. To help build The Collective’s creative offering with some immensely talented people is a real privilege.”
