WASHINGTON, DC—The 40 best public relations campaigns from around the world will be honored at our Global SABRE Awards ceremony, which will take place as part of the PRovokeGlobal Summit in Washington, DC, next month.
The 40 campaigns are selected from the winners of our regional SABRE Awards competitions in North America, EMEA, Africa, South Asia, the Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, as well as from the In2 SABRE Awards. They include campaigns from markets such as the US and UK, but also Colombia, Finland, South Africa, and—for the first time ever—Pakistan.
“These 40 campaigns show that creativity can be found in markets large and small,” says Paul Holmes, PRovoke Media founder, who chairs the SABRE Awards jury. “But they also show that when it comes to the use of data and analytics, robust strtategic planning, and a focus on real business impact, the playing field is increasingly even between large and small markers—and between large and small agencies.”
Weber Shandwick leads the way with four campaigns among the Global winners (as well as two campaigns from what was Prime Weber Shandwick, now independent again). Ogilvy PR has three winners, as does Current Global, Burson (including its Jeffrey Group operation in Latin America) and Golin also have two finalists each.
On the client side, Unilever’s Dove brand is the only one to receive multiple trophies.
The Global SABRE Awards (and the Global Agency of the Year awards, to be announced on Monday) will be presented on the evening of Monday October 28th, after our Entrepreneurs Forum, which once again focuses on content of value to independent PR agency founders and principals. The awards will be presented in a countdown from number 40 to the Platinum SABRE Award for Best in Show.
Tickets for the SABREs, the Entrepreneurs Forum, and the two-day Global Summit on October 29 and 30 available here.
