MINNEAPOLIS — Thomson Reuters has named Jeannine Befidi chief communications officer as part of a larger reorganization of the company's comms function.
Befidi is responsible for all aspects of corporate and brand communications, as well as reputation management, employee communications, and executive communications.
Befidi joins Thomson Reuters for a second time from Ceridian, where she served as VP of global employee communications. Before that, she spent two years as Thomson Reuters’ head of communications and change management. Befidi succeeds Alex Thompson, who held the CCO role for nearly three years before stepping down in August.
The company has also hired Julia Commons as VP of corporate affairs and product communications and Marique Beard as VP of internal comms. London-based Commons, who joins from Sage, will lead external communications. Boston-based Beard, who joins from Akamai, will shape the company’s internal communications program.
Befidi said adding Commons and Beard to the team is in keeping with her plan to enhance the comms function to support Thomson Reuters’ growth and engagement.
“I’m excited to help articulate the next part of our journey to our stakeholders as we establish new ways of organizing and operating and position our world-class communications function to deliver on our business, customer, and people goals,” she said.
"Through our communications programs, we will continue to demonstrate that Thomson Reuters is a leading content company," she said.
