LOS ANGELES — Jenny Campbell, Tinder’s most recent marketing head, has joined Kate Spade New York as CMO.

Campbell is responsible for the fashion company’s brand marketing, with a focus on direct-to-consumer engagement, and digital initiatives. Overseeing the brand’s PR, marketing and brand creative departments also are among her responsibilities, according to Footwear News.

Kate Spade's most recent CMO, Mary Beech, left the company in July 2019 after six years in the role. Beech now runs fashion company Sarah Flint as CEO.

Campbell brings two decades of experience to the role, which includes spending the last two years as Tinder’s CMO. A member of PRovoke Media’s Influence 100, Campbell joined Tinder amid a series of leadership changes by the dating app as it faced new competitors, including Facebook.

Previously, Campbell was managing director at entertainment powerhouse 72 and Sunny. Prior to that, she was a global brand director at Nike for various areas including Nike+ Member Services, NikeFuelband and Nike+ Running. She began her career at Wieden+Kennedy, working with Nike, Electronic Arts, Target and Microsoft.
