MIAMI—Some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the history of the public relations business will be on stage in Miami to share their secrets with other independent PR agency owners and principals.

The lineup of speakers and panelists at our third Independent Public Relations Firm Forum includes Margery Kraus, who built APCO from a one-woman public affairs operation into a seven-figure global agency; Larry Weber, who first sold The Weber Group to Interpublic and is now building W2 Group; Chris Lewis, whose UK-based Lewis PR now has 28 offices around the world.

In addition, the program features the founders of midsize US firms such as M Booth and Padilla CRT, as well as successful firms from markets as diverse as France, Russia, the Middle East, and India. It will also include representatives from such well-regarded independents as Gibbs & Soell, MWW, and Waggener Edstrom.

Topics under discussion range from building a world-class capability in insights to fostering creativity, from recruiting and retaining top talent to planning for an orderly succession.

The event will also feature a discussion with Miles Nadal, chief executive of MDC Partners, which has acquired some of the leading independent firms in the US—Allison+Partners, Hunter PR, Kwittken, Sloane and more—covering topics from fostering a culture of entrepreneurship to what he looks for in an acquisition target.

Tickets for the Independent PR Firm Forum—and the Global Public Relations Summit that follows—can be purchased from our dedicated event site.
