LONDON — The UEFA Women’s Euro England 2022 football tournament has appointed a roster of agencies to support the delivery of the event taking place across nine host cities in England next summer.

M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, Matta, Threepipe Reply, Two Circles and Heart Productions will help UEFA by implementing an integrated marcomms campaign to drive ticket sales, maximise tournament awareness, deliver TV audiences for host broadcaster the BBC and attract new fans and players to the women’s game.

The tournament, set to be the biggest women’s European sport event in history, has over 700,000 tickets available across the ten venues. The opening match will take place at Old Trafford on July 6 next year, with the final at Wembley on July 31.

Specialist agency M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment has been tasked with delivering an integrated PR and communications campaign that aims to raise awareness of the tournament, while Threepipe Reply has been selected to deliver the paid media strategy, planning and activation for the event.

Threepipe co-founder and sales and marketing director Jim Hawker told PRovoke Media: “It’s great to bring our tournament experience to next year’s exciting event. Women’s sport is in the ascendancy and it’s great to be part of what will be a very high profile occasion.”

In addition, sports, fitness and well-being creative agency Matta has been appointed to create a ticketing campaign across digital and social that will capitalise on the growth in popularity of women’s sport globally.

Sports data and marketing technology company Two Circles will be providing fan insight and data analytics technology, while Heart Productions has been selected to create and deliver an inclusive experiential programme. This will be funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and will be promoted in partnership with the BBC.
