NEW YORK —Telescope maker Unistellar has launched a search for a PR agency of record.
The French company said it issued a formal RFP to “numerous small-to-midsize firms” today. The remit includes North America media relations and supporting the brand through content development, PR events and brand activations.
The two-year contract includes a $180,000 annual media relations budget and additional budgets for expenses related to PR, influencer marketing, writing, video production and brand activation. A more detailed annual budget in the mid-six-figures will be shared with select agencies during the RFP phase, a Unistellar rep said.
This is Unistellar’s first pitch for an AOY that will be responsible for the full range of PR services. Bospar has handled Unistellar’s media relations business since late 2020. The company also works with Liberty Communications in the UK, Ruess Group in Germany, and Agence Eliotrope in France.
The pitch comes on the heels of a successful 2021 for Unistellar, thanks in a large part to the popularity of its $3,000 smart telescope, eVscope.
