LONDON — 3 Monkeys Zeno has bolstered its senior healthcare team with the appointment of Vicki Martin as director of its UK health practice.

Martin joins after two years at GCI Health, where as a director she headed a number of account teams including Organon, Biogen, and ViiV Healthcare, as well as leading on client service across the agency.

Previously, Martin was an independent consultant, working with agencies such as Edelman, MHP and Syneos, as well as in-house at Boehringer Ingelheim and The London Clinic. Before moving into healthcare communications, she worked as a pharmaceutical journalist and began her career in scientific research.

Martin will be based in London, working with Avril Lee, Zeno’s European head of health, to lead integrated communications programmes for clients across the region. She also joins the Zeno Global Health and Wellness Practice, consisting of healthcare specialists based across the US, Canada, France, the UK and APAC.

Lee said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have Vicki join our team – she’s a fantastic health comms professional with a wealth of experience, as well as a being a great person to work with.  Across our practice we’ve seen the increasing need for agency partners able to deliver creative integrated health and wellness comms.  And, with the pandemic-driven shift to major investments in health solutions across the stakeholder spectrum, our practice will be built on the best health talent: that’s the route to great work and maximising our growth.

Martin added: “I’m eager to bring my experience to current clients, and am genuinely excited to grow the opportunity in health and support the senior team by maintaining a culture that drives excellence in client service delivery.”
