LONDON — Vision Express, one of the UK’s leading opticians and optical retailers, has appointed The Fourth Angel as its consumer PR agency after a review of its marketing and communications partners.

The agency’s brief includes promoting the brand’s fashion credentials, as well as eye health campaigns and CSR initiatives. Consumer PR at Vision Express was previously handled in-house by its parent company GrandVision.

Senior consultant Becky Westaway is leading the agency team with Alex McDonald, The Fourth Angel’s cultural strategist, supporting on creative campaigns.

The agency has also picked up a number of other clients in the past few weeks, including greentech The Pilot Group, which specialises in electric vehicle charging, air quality monitors and energy efficient building management systems, and sustainability consultancy Planet Shine.
