SINGAPORE — Jeremy Seow has stepped down from his role as CEO of WE Communications in Singapore, with the firm commencing a search to identify his successor.

Seow will depart the firm in early 2020, after a three year run with the independent agency. He told the Holmes Report that he is "working with a friend to launch a passion project," and will also aim to continue "working with organizations that seek to connect data and digital content to move prospects as well as customers down the sales funnel."

Seow's decision comes after a restructuring of the firm's leadership in Asia-Pacific, which saw WE Buchan CEO Rebecca Wilson expand her remit beyond Australia to add oversight of Singapore.

WE international president Kass Sells told the Holmes Report that Seow's departure was "completely amicable". "He will be involved in the recruitment of a successor," said Seow. "It’s a reflection of Jeremy’s commitment to the agency and his maturity as a leader."

Separately, WE is also parting ways with Singapore tech lead Ng Keng Wee, who has quit the firm after more than nine years to take on an in-house role. Sells noted that WE is close to appointing regional heads of technology and healthcare, along with Singapore leadership for healthcare and corporate.

"It does allow us to look at our business in Singapore and our growth," said Sells, after WE was named Asia-Pacific Midsize Agency of the Year recently. "We’ll be looking for a leader that can take us into our future. Both in terms of PR/comms expertise but also our integrated and digital capabilities."

Prior to joining WE in 2017 as Singapore MD, Seow served in the same role at Zeno, where he spent almost four years.
