SAO PAULO—Global public relations agency Weber Shandwick and its clients are nominated 17 times in our 2024 Latin American SABRE Awards competition, more than any other agency and just ahead of the regional network Sherlock Communications and newcomer to the region SEC Newgate (including both a Colombian operation and Mexican agency another), which each have 16 finalists on the shortlist announced today.
Those three firms finished ahead of three others with double-digit finalists: WPP-owned Jeffrey Group (13 finalists) and global players Porter Novelli (12) and Edelman (10).
“A record number of entries into this year’s Latin American competition saw several regional and global firms showcasing stellar creative work,” says Paul Holmes, founder of PRovoke Media and chair of the SABRE jury. “It is great to see the Latin American region producing so much quality in terms of both strategy and effectiveness.”
Other firms with multiple shortlisted campaigns include Agora, Atrevia, and Burson, each of which has five finalists.
On the client side, Pan American Energy led the way with six finalists, ahead of hotel and resort chain Xcaret with five finalists and Nissan Motor Company and Reckitt with four each.
The winners will be announced at our annual Latin American SABRE Awards event, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 24, in partnership with Brazilian trade association ABRACOM. Tickets for the event will be available from Monday August 12 at the dedicated event site.
