SINGAPORE — Weber Shandwick has promoted Hin-Yan Wong, to  EVP of strategic planning and head of the firm's Asia-Pacific analytics and intelligence, following the departure of Emmanuel Caisse last year.

Caisse, who spent four and a half years as Weber Shandwick's insight and analytics head in Asia-Pacific, has returned to Toronto to launch a new consultancy.

Based in Singapore, Wong will report to Asia-Pacific chief client and growth officer Vanessa Ho Nikolovski, while overseeing the agency’s analytics unit across the region.

"Strategic intelligence and analytics are foundational to communications today with data-driven insights sitting at the centre of our client solutions," said Ho Nikolovski. "Hin-Yan's leadership and experience, his breadth of thinking, and collaborative action will continue to enhance our capabilities, and build out our talent and offering to drive business value for our clients across APAC."

Wong, who joined Weber Shandwick in 2019, was previously SVP of strategic planning and intelligence.

Weber Shandwick’s global analytics and intelligence community, led by Ridhi Malhotra, numbers over 150 analysts, data scientists, engineers and market researchers.
