HOUSTON — Edelman has hired Weber Shandwick’s Lorenz Esguerra to lead the company’s Dallas and Houston offices.
Esguerra will be part of the firm’s US leadership team under the watch of two new leaders — CEO Lisa Osborne Ross and COO Jim O’Leary. He replaces Jorge Ortega who is moving into a senior advisor role within the firm.
Esguerra most recently served as executive VP and GM of Weber Shandwick’s Minneapolis operations, where he oversaw over 90 staff members. His 30-year career includes stints at BBDO and Bain & Company, and in-house roles at Mattel and P&G.
“From the first moments of our first conversation, I knew that Lorenz was the type of leader we needed to realize our vision for the future,” said Ross. “His track record of success building, maintaining, and growing client relationships — coupled with his belief in finding the best talent and creating opportunities for them to soar — was the perfect match at the perfect time. I couldn’t be more pleased and proud to partner with him.”
