BOSTON — The Association for Computing Machinery, a roughly 100,000-member nonprofit, has tapped Wireside Communications for PR support.

As ACM’s agency of record, Wireside will provide strategic media, analyst and influencer relations and thought leadership programming. The tech firm will also oversee events development and social media management for the organization.

Wireside started its relationship with ACM — the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society — in August following a competitive review that included an incumbent.

“We are excited to begin our work with Wireside, an agency that brings deep industry experience, fresh ideas and a new perspective to the table, as we continue to expand awareness of ACM as a leading source of cutting-edge research, breakthrough discoveries, and practical solutions to real world challenges for computing and IT professionals throughout the world,” said ACM senior marketing manager Bruce Shriver.

Created nearly 20 years ago, Wireside was relaunched in 2020 under founder Joya Subudhi and longtime Racepoint Global leader RJ Bardsley, who run the firm as co-CEOs. ACM joins existing clients including NTT, Infineon and The Internet Society among others.
