STAMFORD, CT — WWE has tapped Dazn’s Chris Legentil to lead global communications.

As senior VP & head of global communications, Legentil will be responsible for the entertainment company’s communications strategy. He will be part of WWE’s senior leadership team in the newly created role.

Legentil joins after three years with Dazn, where he oversaw consumer and corporate communications. He helped launch the sports streaming platform in the US in 2018 and the company’s global platform in 2020.

Before that, Legentil worked for the NBA, Ketchum and Showtime Networks.

“Chris has phenomenal instincts” said Nick Khan, WWE’s president & chief revenue officer. “His experience working across the media and content landscape is tremendous."

The creation of Legentil’s role comes roughly eight months after Khan joined WWE. His larger charge includes repositioning WWE from a professional wrestling to a media company.
