SAN JOSE, CA — Videocall platform Zoom, which emerged from the pandemic as a household name, has moved its US PR business to Mission North, PRovoke Media has learned.

“I can confirm that Mission North is Zoom’s US PR agency,” head of global corporate communications Colleen Rodriguez told PRovoke Media. She did not elaborate.

The shift displaces Zeno, which has handled Zoom’s US PR since 2021. Zoom worked with Hotwire for about a year before that. Global partners include the Hoffman Agency, which handles Zoom’s Asia PR, and Vianews in Brazil.

An independent, Mission North closed 2022 as a $22.5 million, 83-person business whereas Zeno, which is owned by DJE Holdings, last year registered $138.4 million in revenue and 715 employees, according to our Global Agency Rankings.

Zoom is switching up its PR agency support as it finds its footing post-pandemic amid the likes of Zoom fatigue, laying off roughly 15% of staff and employee  backlash to its new return-to-work policy requiring employees who live within 50 minutes of an office to work onsite  two days a week.
